Description

Aus einem massiven Holzblock geschnitzt; dunkelbraune Oberfläche, wohl getönt oder lackiert. Darstellung eines liegenden Wächterlöwen mit spiralförmig stilisierter Mähne, geöffnetem Maul und blockhaft vereinfachter Körperform; die ornamental abstrahierte Ausführung entspricht ostasiatischen Shishi/Foo-Dog-Typologien. Sichtbare Werkzeugspuren; integrierter Sockel mit umlaufender Kerbverzierung; Unterseite offen und grob bearbeitet mit Sägespuren und poröser Holzstruktur. Ausgeprägte Trocknungsrisse entlang der Holzfaser, Abrieb der Oberfläche, kleinere Kantenverluste und Fehlstellen am Sockel sowie altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren. Maße ca. 17 × 22,6 × 8,1 cm.
