Porcelain. On a round, stepped base. A standing, naturalistically rendered beaver. Underside marked with a blue underglaze scepter mark. Height 45.5 cm. Max Alexander Wilhelm Esser (born 1885 in Bart – died 1945 in Berlin) worked for many years in the studio of August Gaul. Inspired by his renowned teacher, Esser devoted himself primarily to depictions of animals and also created numerous animal models for porcelain figurines.Condition: I - Questions about the lot?
