Original blued, octagonal barrel, turning to 16-faceted, the bore with oval rifling in 15.5 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights, lavish silver-inlaid floral embellishment at the muzzle and root of the barrel, with the signature "J.G. Biesse à Helmstedt". Gold-lined vent hole. Original blued flintlock with ornamental silver inlays and repeated, silver-inlaid signature. The Capuchin full stock slightly carved in beautifully grained walnut with a dark horn nose. The patch box with a spring catch on the butt. The stock covered in exquisitely wrought silver wire inlays. Blued iron furniture with fine decorative tendrils, inlaid in silver. A small imperfection in the stock wood at the butt cap. Inset wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 117.5 cm.
