Description

Both smooth-bore barrels set off by balusters and fluted at the breeches, in 8 mm calibre, with a cannon muzzle. The two fully functional, chiselled iron wheellocks with openwork, brass wheel covers and folding safety triggers. The lock plates with engraved brass inlays and the manufacturer's monogram "AK". Lavishly adorned with engraved and blackened floral tendrils, animals and figures, the bone-inlaid walnut full stock with an octagonal, oval pommel. Iron trigger guards, the ramrod with bone tip inset on the side. Length 74.5 cm. Unique, completely handmade weapon. Superb quality, fully functional design. This pistol is modelled on a pistol in the collection of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, published by L. Tarassuk, Antique Firearms, Leningrad 1972, fig. 399.
