Description

The skull forged in two pieces, with a tall, turned comb. The ridged peak and neck guard forged in one piece, with turned flanges. Continuous iron lining rivets with brass rosettes, alternating with fine lining holes. The attached cheek pieces opening on a hinge, each with three pierced openings for hearing. Original leather loop for the chinstrap still in place. Remnants of the original textile lining and the flax padding on the inside. Original blackening. Height 29 cm. Fabulous helmet in arsenal-maintained, untouched condition.
