Description

Complete sword mountings in partially gilt shakudō with wooden placeholder blades. Tsuka with beige silk wrapping over same. Fuchi made of shakudō, black-lacquered shakira with floral gold lacquer décor. Mokko-tsuba with fine floral décor in relief. Set of kozuka and kogai with horse motifs. Black-lacquered saya with décor of bamboo and pine branches in gold lacquer, mounts in partially gilt shakudō. Length 61.5 cm. Includes Japanese NBTHK Hozon papers.

The auction starts on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10 am (CEST) with Lot no. 4001 - 5129. The pre-sale view will take place from May 12 - May 15 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CEST).
