Description

Cal. 9mmLuger, SN. 2588, non-matching numbers. Mirror-like bore with six-groove rifling, barrel length 280 mm, with muzzle brake 330 mm. German proof mark 1997. Mounted to the barrel a G3 front sight with matching drum sight, scaled 1 - 4. Jet black finish, matte barrel. Black plastic fore-end with aluminium components. Retractable butt stock also screwed to the grip by means of an aluminium spacer, not removable without tools. Black plastic grip panels reinforced with HOGUE grip adapter. The weapon was probably used by gunsmith Herbert Werle as a prototype to design a P08 carbine in 9 mm Luger calibre, being built on the basis of a P. 08 manufactured by Mauser in 1940. The top of the receiver marked "1940", forward toggle link marked "byf". Original acceptance marks eagle/"655" at the receiver. Chrome-plated magazine made by the Italian company MEC-GAR. Overall length with shoulder stock extended 73 cm.
