Description

Cap body in dark blue tricot wool, black velvet cap band, red piping, gilt chin cords with alternating dark blue cords attached by two silver finish pebbled buttons. Silver-finish metal eagle and metal cockade with red cloth insert. Black lacquered visor with brown, checkered finish underside. Black artificial silk lining, moisture shield intact, manufacturer mark “Carl Weyers Köln”, with size “56” and inserted owners typed paper name tag “Heinrich Schöneseiffen”. Brown leather perforated sweatband loose at left side front. Minor moth nips. Exhibits age.
