Description

Cap body in black wool, black cap band, gilt piping, silver-aluminum chin cords attached by silver finish pebbled buttons. Large diplomatic eagle embroidered in silver-aluminum over black backing, wreath embroidered in silver-aluminum over black. Black lacquered visor with tan, smooth finish underside. Grey artificial silk lining, moisture shield intact, owner’s name typed on paper tag “J. Sch.” underneath. Light brown leather perforated sweatband with black ink stamp on underside. Silver-aluminum embroidered insignia with oxidation damage. Small area loose at visor. Minor moth nips. Size ca. 55.
