Removable, round cap top of black wool, tassel at top centre with cylindrical weave, silver-grey machine-embroidered eagle and skull both machine-applied. Oval-shaped, heavily padded beret shell of black wool with six rubber vents. Missing one grommet. Black oilcloth lining, brown leather sweatband size stamped “59”, manufacturer stamp “Wilhelm Wethekam Dresden” underneath. Minor moth nips. Exhibits age. Size ca. 59.
