55% field-grey paint, 70% eagle decal, manufacturer and size stamped “EF62”, batch number “3136”, brown leather liner with age, tie strings intact. Brown leather chinstrap exhibits moderate wear. Paper tag attached with handwriting “May 8, 1943 – Aine Rhelal - 12 miles east of Mateur, Tunisia – German helmet picked up by Leut. Col. Henry K Kellogg C.O. 2nd Battalion 19th Engineer Combat Regiment”.
