Hand-hammered iron goblet of multi-piece construction. Goblet features two eagles in aerial combat with one eagle victorious at centre. Award date engraved above âAbwehrschlacht-Flandern 23.9.1917.â, recipient name below âOberleutnant Falke Fuhrer d. Kampfstaffel 24. K.G.IV. O.H.L.â. Lower base with raised lettering âDEM SIEGER IM LUFTKAMPFâ, supported by four round balls. Underside of base with raised Prussian Eagle seal âChef des Feldflugwesensâ. Carved wooden base for display. Goblet size ca. 19.5cm height x 9.5cm width, base size ca. 8.5cm height x 11.5cm width.
