Description

Silver-plated centerpiece commemorating Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II of Prussia and Germany's 1917 state visit to Constantinople (İstanbul) and the Ottoman Empire. Engraved in its center in German "Zur Erinnerung an den Besuch seiner Majestät des Deutschen Kaisers Wilhelm II. bei seiner Majestät dem Sultan der Osmanen Mohamed V. in Konstantinopel, 15 Oktober 1917" (tr. "In memory of the visit of His Majesty the German Emperor Wilhelm II to His Majesty the Sultan of the Ottomans Mohamed V in Constantinople, 15 October 1917"). Dimensions ca 45 x 30 cm.
