Description
Cal. .450Short, SN. 129, nearly bright bore, octagonal barrel, length 150 mm. Top-break operated via chequered release lever on rear of frame. Six-shot fluted cylinder. Double action. Concealed hammer. Rib marked "Kynoch Gun Factory Aston", top strap "Patent Model". All metal parts in the white, partially spotty, with signs of use. Walnut grip with fine chequering, slightly bumped. Lanyard ring. These revolvers were offered to the Metropolitan Police London in various sizes and calibres around 1886, but were declined. Cf a.o.
