Description

Cal. 6,5mmBergmM96, SN. 461, matching numbers, incl. grips. Octagonal barrel, length 185 mm, with bright bore. Holds 5 rounds. German proofmarks double crown above "U". Adjustable rear and front sights, the front sight with protectors. The top cover of the receiver without rear sight notch. Extractor. The trigger guard with a finger rest. Trigger stop and set trigger. The left side of the receiver marked "Patent / Bréveté / S.G.D.G.", on the right side the company logo, a miner in an oval, with circumscription "Gaggenau / V.C.S. / Suhl". The original finish > 98%, with minor signs of use. Small parts straw coloured, the safety nitre-blued. Dark walnut grips. This is a widely unknown pattern of this model in almost new condition. See Ezell, Handguns of the World, page 366, and DWJ 1987, p. 121, and DWJ Feb. 2025, p. 80f. The case most likely a copy, with screw driver and cleaning rod.
