Cal. .44Henry, SN. 14731, barrel length 20", nearly bright bore. 1st model, made in 1866 according to "The Winchester Book" by George Madis, p. 59 and p. 620! Two-line Hartford address with patent dates on the barrel. Barrel and magazine tube slightly brownish and spotty with patina. Folding rear sight marked 300 and 500. Brass frame. Lacquered, matching numbered, two-piece walnut stock. Small hairline crack on the left side of the forend. Curved brass butt plate with flap, containing the original cleaning rod. Rare version of the 1866 carbine. Length 100 cm.
