Description
The wooden panel with three sponki on the back. Tempera on gesso, the background gilt. The top row crowned by five domes with crosses as finials, featuring scenes of the crucifixion and entombment of Christ. The central sections depicting God the Father, the enthroned Virgin Mary and Christ, each flanked by prophets, saints and angels. The royal door with a characterisation of the Last Supper, the Annunciation and the four Evangelists dominating the centre of the lower row. Minor retouching.
