Description

Bronze mit schöner Alterspatina. Zylindrischer Korpus mit abgesetztem Stand und weit ausgestellter Lippe, umlaufender Fries mit mehreren teils berittenen Jägern sowie Hunden und fliehendem Hirsch und Eber. Im Hintergrund Wald und vereinzelte Gebäude. Darüber umlaufendes Schriftband "LAUS DEO 1696". Höhe 11,5 cm, Durchmesser 13,5 cm. Gute erhaltener Mörser mit außergewöhnlich scharfem und detailliertem Relief. Gerrit Schimmel, Bronzegießer, übernimmt 1680 die Werkstatt von Henrick ter Horst in Deventer, stirbt 1707.
