Description
Sculpture of the Horus falcon with double crown (Pschent) made of Egyptian basalt. Uraeus snake on the front of the red crown of Lower Egypt. The anatomical details of the face, plumage and talons are sculpted and strikingly detailed. The model is a Horus sculpture from the Late Period. Decorative and impressive, handcrafted large sculpture with a representative character. The statue was created in the 1950s by the Egyptian sculptor Mohamed Nasr, who at that time copied prominent ancient Egyptian sculptures from Luxor and the surrounding area by hand, using stone from the same Egyptian deposits as the Pharaonic models. In view of its age, the copy can already be considered an antique. HxWxD 93 x 23 x 48 cm, weight ca. 120 kg.
