Description

The visor cap made of finely ribbed white silk (slightly stained), the patterned headband in black silk. The eagle emblem on the front embroidered in gold on red cloth, black lacquered visor, gold cord on gold fasces buttons with GIL symbol, white mesh lining, brown leather sweatband with the old size label "57". Together with the uniform tunic in finely ribbed, white silk cloth with cream-coloured plastic buttons, a red-enamelled fasces symbol (chips) at each end of the collar. Looped shoulder boards in silver braid, bearing the gold-coloured fasces and GIL symbol in metallic embroidery (repeated on both cuffs), multi-piece field orders clasps on the left breast (the white loops on the side UV positive). The left upper arm with a general's eagle embroidered in gold on red cloth, smooth champagne-coloured silk lining. Moreover, the yellow and red silk sash and a black and gold belt with a heavy, gilt buckle. The model 1937 dagger with a polished blade, aluminium hilt with white plastic grip panels, black lacquered steel scabbard and non-ferrous metal hangers with chain, clip and cipher "m". The sword knot made of round, gold-coloured cord. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age and wear. Extremely rare, high-ranking uniform set. The Gioventù Italiana del Littorio (GIL) was a fascist youth organisation.
