Provisional possession document for the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, awarded on 15 September 1941, issued on 16 September 1941, original signature of Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch. "Classification notice once verification is completed" (denazification), dated "Kiel, den 08.01.1951". Portrait photo as SS Sturmbannführer with Knight's Cross, "Agfa-Brovira" photographic paper, measuring 10 x 15 cm. Theodor Wisch joined the SS in 1930, his SS membership number was 4,759. In March 1933, he moved to the SS Sonderkommando Berlin (later LSSAH). When war broke out, he was SS Hauptsturmführer and head of the 1st Sturm in the Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler". On 25 February 1943, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold for his bravery in the battles for Kharkov. At the end of July 1943, he was promoted to commander of the 1st SS Panzer Division "LSSAH". On 12 February 1944, he was awarded the Oak Leaves and on 30 August 1944 the Swords. At the end of January 1944, he was appointed SS Brigadeführer and Generalmajor der Waffen SS.
