Der Ring aus vergoldetem Silber, die Flanken mit reliefierten Luftwaffenadlern, die eingesetzte bernsteinfarbene Platte mit aufgenieteter Miniatur des Flugzeugführerabzeichen. Innenseitige Feingehaltpunze "835" und Meistermarke. Dazu ein Satz Effekten für den weißen Sommerrock für einen Oberst der Fliegertruppe. Laut Einliefererangabe aus dem Nachlass des Oberst von Appel stammend.
