Description

Geborgen aus den Überresten des LZ 129 "Hindenburg", der Stoff besteht aus Baumwolle und Leinen, für die bessere Glätte mit Cellon bestrichen, zum Lack wurde Aluminiumpulver beigemischt, Maße 12 x 5 cm. Anbei ein "altes" Kuvert und ein kleiner Zettel mit der Notiz "Piece of the Hindenburg May 6, 1937". Am 6. Mai 1937 wurde das Luftschiff bei der Landung in Lakehurst (New Jersey, USA) zerstört. Ursache für den Absturz war eine entzündete Wasserstofffüllung. Selten zu finden!
