Description

The octagonal barrel turning to round with a reinforced muzzle. Smooth bore in 14 mm calibre. Dovetailed iron rear sight, floral ornaments engraved at the root of the barrel. Finely crafted miquelet lock with engraved and chased embellishment. Cock does not set. A deeply struck mark with "ASTIAZARAN" below a crown on the lock plate. Lavishly carved stock in walnut with engraved brass furniture. The butt in the shape of a whale with eyes, teeth and dot inlays made of bone. A mascaron with bone-inlaid eyes on both the upper and underside. Iron-capped wooden ramrod underlaid in bone. Length 110.5 cm.
