Description

The sturdy blade with straight cutting edges, widening slightly towards the point. The long ricasso with two sturdy guards. Both ends of the flat quillons extending into decorative spirals, a spiral forge-welded on the side of each. Oval guard rings with inset fleur-de-lys motifs on both sides. Original, leather-covered, spiral grip. Remnants of the original lanyard. Double tapered pommel with six grooves. Length 177 cm.

Provenance: Lot 1128 – sold on 12/13 September 2013, Galerie Fischer, Lucerne.
