Description

Hira zukuri blade, iori-mune, bo-hi. Hamon midare gunome, nioi deki, nie, ko sunagashi yo abb tobiaki. Boshi jizo ko maru kaeriyoru, masame itame hada. Gilt habaki. Nakago ubu keitai, kuri nakagojiri, two mekugi ana. Signed "Kane Tsuji", (2nd generation). Shibuichi tsuba with raised, inlaid gunbai in shakudo and silver. Tsuka with brown silk wrapping over same. Bronze fuchi-kashira with inlaid blossoms in shakudo and gold. Menuki in the shape of intertwined pines. Red-lacquered saya with lozenge-shaped incised decoration. Blade length k/m 29 cm, overall length 49 cm. Includes an expert report by Massimo Rossi, Sesto Fiorentino.
