Description

Octagonal to round barrel, length 228 mm. Smooth bore, caliber 18mm. Bore with moderate surface corrosion, apparently no pitting or major corrosion. Underside of barrel not checked. Front lock screw a modern replacement, as is the ramrod. Surface reworked, with remainders of corrosion. Iron Miquelet lock, moderately corroded. Acceptance mark "DVI.". Powder pan and mountings of brass. Renewed belt hook. Walnut half stock with signs of wear and tear, various moderate cracks, around the front barrel pin some filling with liquid wood. Mechanically ok. Length approx. 37 cm. Appearance very similar to the French M 1822 T officers pistol.
