Description

Cal. .44 S&W Russian, SN. 6938, Matching numbers. Bright bore, drop barrel, length 6-1/2". Magazine with six rounds. Barrel rib signed "Ludw. Loewe & Co. Waffen- & Munitions-Fabrik Berlin", behind it acceptance mark "RA" encircled for Argentina. Original, strongly spotted finish, patinated on trigger guard and grip. Dark, smooth walnut grip panels. Lanyard loop.
The weapon on offer originates from the "Smith & Wesson Museum Collection", label attached. Auctioned off at the S & W-Auction on the occasion of the museum's liquidation at Butterfield & Butterfield, July 1996.

General Information

The auction includes 726 lots and starts on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 5001 - 5727. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
