Cal. .38 rimless, SN. 3392, Matching numbers. Bright bore barrel, length 6”. British proof marks. Made in 1902. Early slide with opening for the folding sight. Hammer with serrated spur. On the left side of the slide standard two-line inscription with 1897 patent, the right side roll stamped "Automatic Colt / Calibre 38 Rimless Smokeless" and manually marked “93/638”, pointing to the IMI collection (Imperial Metal Industry – parent company of Kynoch). On the front left at the frame unknown inventory mark with heraldic shield and “191”. Original bluing spotty and with signs of wear, mostly on the slide, with freckled grip straps. Blued barrel and trigger. Colour case hardened hammer. Black rubber grip panels with brand name and rampant colt.
