Description

Cal. 6,5 mm Bergm., SN. 2653, Matching numbers incl. grip panels. Bright bore, octagonal barrel, length 185 mm. 5-shot magazine. Proof marks double crown/U. Adjustable rear sight and front sight with cover (target sights). Breechblock cover without rear sight cutout. Extractor. Finger spur at the trigger guard. Marked on the left side of the frame "Patent/Bréveté/S.G.D.G.", on the right of the lock plate within an oval the company logo with dwarf and surrounding inscription "Gaggenau - V.C.S. - Suhl". Complete, original bluing, partially minimal signs of use and storage. Small and operational parts strawed. Safety blued. Dark walnut grip panels. Lanyard ring. Largely unknown rarity in as-new condition. Cf. among others Ezell, Handguns of the world, p. 366 and DWJ 1987, p. 121.
