Octagonal barrel with micro-groove rifling in 12 mm calibre, the bore slightly rough and in need of cleaning, gold band inlays and several gold-lined marks at the muzzle and breech, signed on the left “Boutet et Fils”, in the middle number “357” (later?) and on the right “Versailles”. Also a gold-lined touch hole. Flintlock with hammer of typical form, signed again on the lockplate, cocking notch of the tumbler damaged, set trigger. Full stock with smooth iron furniture, only the sideplate with fine engraving. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. The barrel rubbed and slightly patinated, slight signs of age and use.
