Description

Two-stage barrels, octagonal then round, with smooth bores in 12 mm calibre. Mounted brass front sights. Locks with domed plates and finely engraved cocks. Lightly carved walnut stocks (one butt with shrinkage cracks), noses of dark horn. Furniture of white bronze with finely etched rocaille décor. Wooden ramrods with horn tips. Length 35.5 cm.
Although the pistols are unmarked, certain aspects of style point to a St. Petersburg gunsmith.

The auction includes 726 lots and starts on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 5001 - 5727. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 and Oct. 28 - 31, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
