Description
The round barrels with distinct midribs and slightly flared muzzles. Smooth bores in 15.5 mm calibre. Surface-mounted brass front sights, chased leaf décor at the breeches. Hinged top-break system, the interchangeable chamber sections with lateral frizzens. Lightly engraved lock plate and cock. The slightly carved walnut full stocks with brass furniture. The lock side plates with finely chased grotesque decoration in relief. The front trigger guard strut made of iron, designed to release the barrels. Original, iron-capped wooden ramrods. Length of each 56 cm.Rare, early breech-loading system that enabled prepared chamber sections to be loaded and fired in quick succession. Apart from both bullets and a powder charge, the chamber sections were also fitted with a filled firing pan, ensuring that a new shot could be fired immediately on insertion and cocking the hammer.
