Cal. 12 Blackpowder, SN. 641, SN. 2, Heavily pitted bores. Length 78 cm. The surface of the barrels with many strike marks, probably of Damascus steel, but not verifiable due to reworking and rebluing. The barrel rib marked (transl.) "H. Barella Royal Rifle Makers In Magdeburg". Lock similar to the excenter breech block by Collath. Hammers with additional safety. Receiver, lock plates, hammers, trigger guard and excenter exquisitely crafted and engraved all-over. The imperial crown inlaid in gold on the receiver extension. Double trigger. Chequered walnut stock with German style cheekpiece. Bolted to the right side of the butt stock a plaque reading (transl.) "From the armoury of His Majesty, Emperor WIlhelm I., given to the royal Chamberlain Nolle as a commemorative gift". Shortened wooden ramrod with horn tip. A very finely crafted shotgun from imperial possession.
