Description

Torch holder manufactured by Krupp AG, Essen, made of Nirosta V2A steel with etched décor, height approx. 27 cm, weight approx. 450 g. The torch base with small dent on the 2 mm edge. Coloured document (tr.) "on the participation in the Olympics torch relay Berlin", issued to Dr. Franz Martin, with original signature of the President of the Austrian Olympic Committee Dr. Theodor SCHMIDT and other dignitaries. Dimensions of the document 35.5 x 23 cm. One small enamelled badge.
Dr. Franz Martin, born 1893, was a veterinary surgeon, member of the NSDAP since 1932 and chairman of the Styrian Ski Association.

General Information

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
