Description

Parallelogram of soft wool backing in lime green with three gold wire-embroidered oakleaves (patinated), piped in gold wire twist cord on buckram backing. Example is for the rank of SS Brigadefuhrer und Generalmajor of the Polizei, for the left collar. These SS style General's tabs were introduced for the Polizei in February of 1942. Cf. John R. Angolia and Hugh Page Taylor “Uniforms Organization & History of the German Police Volume 2” p. 48. Dimensions circa 60 x 45 mm.

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
