Description

Bronze cast sculpture created by the artist Georg Müller for display at the 1936 Olympic Art Exhibition in Berlin. Müller was a master at creating compositions consisting of an animal with a human being. The difficulty of synthesizing animals and humans in a piece of art has been brilliantly overcome in the Rossebändiger statue that perfectly captures the dynamic movement. Base plate of bronze sculpture is marked “Georg Mueller”, secured to brown marble base by screws. Ca. 31 cm height.

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
