Description

Cut and faceted crystal glass with gold rims. On the viewing side an oriental prince lying in a palm grove and holding a roe deer fawn in his arms. The helmeted Goring family coat of arms set in a medallion on the reverse side. Rich floral decoration. Six-sided stems on square feet. Height ca. 13 cm.
Provenance: Voluntary auction from the former possessions of Hermann Göring, Neumeister, formerly Weinmüller, 157th Auction, 25 October 1974, lots 3051 to 3058. Presumably a gift for Göring’s 50th birthday on 12 January 1943.
