Description

Großformatiges Hoffmann-Foto, Brustportrait, links unten in dunkler Tinte signiert "Adolf Hitler - Landsberg den 20/Mai 1924." Rs. Stempel "Photo-Bericht Hoffmann, Schellingstr. 50". Im Foto zwei Craquelees, rs. Klebespuren. Maße 23,5 x 17,5 cm.
Dazu handschriftlicher Brief von Rogan Showalter an den amerikanischen Händler Ben Swearingen, dat. 11. Juli, o.J., ca. Mitte der 70er Jahre, mit Angebot für dieses Fotos für 2.000 US Dollar. In dem Brief erwähnt Showalter, dass das Foto in NBC's "Today"-Show gezeigt wurde und in Tolands Biographie über Hitler abgebildet ist. Seltener, früher Autograph.
Hitler war seit dem 1. April 1924 in der Festung Landsberg inhaftiert.
