Description

Very impressive model sabre from a series of models manufactured exclusively for exhibitions, showing that there is no limit to the luxury of edged weapons. Cf. also the contemporary original catalogue of the company Carl Eickhorn (tr.) "Designs for deluxe sabres". Pipe-backed blade with yelmen of fine forged Damascus steel ("large roses"), on the reverse the special gilt Eickhorn logo on blued ground. Gilt openwork basket hilt with flower décor and the national coat of arms of the Republic of Latvia enamelled in colour. The grip of massive cherrywood with en suite fittings and cap. Length 98 cm.
