Description

Double sided white silk base, elaborate embroidery of various colored and metallic threads. Obverse depicts a coat of arms topped by a mailed fist with sword emerging from a crown, surrounded by oak branches and leaves. Silver embroidered inscription “Verein ehemal. Kameraden Infanterie- Regiment v. Boyen (5. Vstpr.) Nr.41Berlin”. Reverse has Imperial eagle at center with the motto “Mitt Gott Für König Und Vaterland” surrounded on four sides by branches with a Kings crown in each corner. Finished on three sides with gold wire fringe. Attached to original pole with commemorative gold and silver engraved metal plaques affixed around the circumference and topped with an Iron Cross finial. Mild age. Dimensions flag circa 122 cm x 122 cm, pole circa length 170 cm.
