Description

Narrow, double-edged blade of flattened diamond section. The upper third with a slender fuller on both sides, struck with the inscription "VENITIA - ANNO DIERA 1545" between fine, engraved leafy vines on both sides. Sturdy, slightly tapered ricasso. Knuckle-bow hilt with extended, straight quillons and a large guard ring on the obverse. The reverse with thumb ring and remnants of the original blackening. Hexagonal, leather-covered grip with two bulging rings, a large, round pommel with offset, riveted button. Length 131 cm.

The pre-sale view will take place from April 22 - to April 26 as well as on Friday May 2nd and Monday May 5th in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CEST).
