Shirt reaching below the hips with short sleeves and slit skirt. Flattened, riveted rings with an inner diameter of approx. 8 mm. The rings of the shoulders and collar are more heavily crafted. The riveting points of the rings have small tips pointing inwards. Good material with few minor flaws and repairs. On a wooden stand. Length approx. 80 cm, height of the stand 132 cm. Characteristic late Gothic mail shirt for a man at arms that used to be worn together with a simple breastplate. The reinforced strip was to protect the torso above the edge of the breastplate, since at that time collars and shoulder defences were only rarely available for men at arms.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
