Double-edged blade of wootz-Damascus steel with reinforced, ridged point. Double fuller on both sides, chiselled at the shoulder with a floral design. Partially spotty. Iron ferrule, formed as an animal head at the transition to the socket. Socket of ten facets with reinforcing ring and short haft fragment. The surfaces of the socket and ferrule gold-damascened all-over with a floral design. Both sides of the ferrule depicting deities. Around the edge of the ferrule a Hindi inscription. Original wooden scabbard covered with green velvet. Length of the spearhead 33 cm, with haft 39 cm.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
