Description
Large-size portrait photo of Göring his uniform as Generaloberst with applied "Pour le Mérite". On the mount (torn and creased) handwritten in ink the dedication (tr.) "General Oshima in sincere camaraderie – Hermann Göring, 1936 - Generaloberst". Under glass in a hand-hammered silver frame with applied gilt Luftwaffe eagle at top. Struck on the edge the master mark of Göring's favourite jeweller, Professor Zeitner, hallmark "835" in crescent moon and "Zeitner Berlin". The stand of the cardboard cover at back missing. Dimensions 30 x 41 cm.Hiroshi Ōshima (1886 - 1975), officer and later general of the Imperial Japanese Army, 1923/24 military attaché in Budapest and Vienna, 1934 colonel and military attaché in Berlin, 1941 Japanese ambassador in Berlin.Condition: II / II - Questions about the lot?
