DescriptionThe larger-than-life bust carved in one piece in white Carrara marble. The French Empereur is depicted in neo-classical style. As the official portrait, the bust created by Antoine-Denis Chaudet (1763 – 1810) from 1807 to 1809 was frequently copied over the following years and displayed in ministries, government offices and public buildings all over France. Similar busts can be found in numerous public collections all over the world. Height 61 cm.
