A Werder M 1869 rifle, old style (first model)

Description

Cal. 11,5x50R Werder, SN. 543, except for the number completely unnumbered, probably a sample rifle. Mirror-like bore with bayonet lug. The "Werder Rahmenvisier" scaled 6-12, marked 5-4-3 on the left. The barrel shank stamped "GF". Barrel with thin, partially rubbed and slightly spotty finish, the fittings stained grey and with rubbed finish. Receiver with traces of bluing. Taut springs. Rifle in unconverted condition in its original caliber, but already featuring the so-called "brim reaming". Walnut stock with slight traces of wear, discharging rod. Rifle can be improved by careful cleaning. Length 131 cm. Rare firearm, probably a sample weapon in nearly untouched condition.
