Cal. .31Volcanic, SN. 553, length of octagonal barrel 8". Dull bore. Tubular magazine under the barrel. Three-line company markings and patents on barrel top. Barrel, magazine and trigger with greyish patina, a bit spotted and with signs of wear. Receiver and grip straps made of brass, with engravings of birds and ornaments. Smooth walnut grips. Of this pattern only 1500 units were ever made.
