Description

Finely wrought instrument in gold-coloured brass with remnants of possible gilding. Short barrel with breech-loading action, the breechblock made of iron. Funnel-shaped vent hole on the top for matchlock ignition. The wheel with a delicately engraved scale, the support with chased floral ornaments and engraved décor. The slender neck with finely engraved embellishment and the signature "Picinus Frusca - Fecit Brixaie". The stock made of walnut (cracked, partially restored), the brass furniture with lavish floral decoration in relief. Length 20 cm. Powder tester of unusually fine construction with unique breech-loading action.
