Description
Distinctly curved blade with brass habaki, hamon and hada are not discernible due to the condition of the polish. Grip and scabbard fashioned of several pieces of walrus ivory, finely carved, engraved and partly coloured. Delicately crafted surrounding scenes with depictions of samurai, interspersed with bands with ornamental décor. The chape signed with four-character mark. Two movable suspension loops with attached red cord. Length 108 cm. High-quality ivory carving in excellent condition. Enclosed is the certificate of an ivory expert regarding the material used.Attention: This lot can only be shipped within the European Union.
